PRS Tekton T - Violet Tourmaline

Tourmaline is one of the most color-variable gemstones in existence — and the violet variety carries a cool, crystalline depth that sits apart from the warmer purples. Violet Tourmaline is precise where Purple Royale is regal, clear where deeper purples go moody — a blue-leaning violet with the kind of transparency that lets light move through the color rather than just sitting on the surface. Over figured mango on mahogany under high-gloss nitro, it interacts with the grain in a way that feels mineral and dimensional, the mango figure catching different intensities of the violet as the light shifts across the shallow violin carve. Smoked black hardware keeps the cool tones grounded, and the Luminlay side dots complete an instrument that holds its own visually from any angle.

The platform is identical to the Imperial Topaz Tekton T: figured mango over mahogany, PRS two-point tremolo with steel plate and brass saddles, 25.5" scale, 24 jumbo stainless steel frets on a 16" ebony fingerboard, Modern “D” neck at 49/64" and 27/32", Stylus humbuckers with push/pull coil split, Phase III locking tuners, scarfed bolt-on maple neck under satin nitro. The color is the difference — and in Violet Tourmaline, it’s a significant one.
