PRS Tekton SVN - Fuchsia Aura
The 7-string extended range guitar has a well-established visual vocabulary — dark, aggressive, purposefully intimidating. The Tekton SVN in Fuchsia Aura ignores all of it, and the result is an instrument that surprises at a distance and delivers exactly what the format promises up close. Fuchsia Aura is a vivid, electric pinkish-purple with a luminous quality that earns the “Aura” in its name — a color that seems to glow from within rather than simply sit on the surface, striking and energetic over figured mango under high-gloss nitro. The mango grain pulls the fuchsia through in shifting intensities across the shallow violin carve, smoked black hardware anchors the electric color without fighting it, and Luminlay side dots complete an instrument that looks as alive under stage lighting as it performs. PRS has built a 7-string that doesn’t look like it’s trying to be menacing — it simply is, because the specification inside leaves no doubt.
The 26.5" scale length is the number that defines the Tekton SVN’s entire tonal proposition: longer than the 25.5" 6-string models, providing the string tension and low-end clarity that a 7th string demands to remain articulate and defined rather than muddy and loose. PRS Stylus SVN pickups — the 7-string-voiced iteration of the Stylus design — preserve note clarity and character across the full extended frequency spectrum, from the highest lead work to the lowest register riffs, equally capable through traditional tube amplifiers and modern digital rigs. Push/pull tone coil-splits both pickups for single-coil voicings in every position, the 1 29/32" nut accommodates all seven strings at proper spacing, and PRS Signature 10-59 strings are spec’d from the factory for the tuning this scale length was built around. 24 jumbo stainless steel frets on a 16" ebony fingerboard, Modern “D” neck at 49/64" and 27/32", scarfed bolt-on maple neck under satin nitro — the Tekton family platform, extended into new territory.
