PRS Tekton Floyd - Hot Pink

Named after the ancient Greek word for artisan or builder, the Tekton is PRS’s newest platform — and it arrives with a clear statement of intent. This is not a vintage-inspired guitar, not a format rooted in 1950s design philosophy, but a purpose-built modern performance instrument conceived for players who are always pushing forward. The Tekton Floyd pairs that platform with a Floyd Rose system and leaves nothing on the table. Hot Pink over a figured mango top under high-gloss nitro is the kind of finish that owns a stage from the back of the room — vivid, confident, and completely committed — and the smoked black hardware running throughout gives it an edge that keeps the color from reading as anything other than intentional. Figured mango is a tropical tonewood with its own resonant character, and PRS is treating it here as a visual and tonal element worth featuring: the shallow violin carve pulls the light across the figure, the depth of the pink shifts with the grain, and the whole instrument reads as something genuinely new rather than a variation on a familiar theme. Luminlay side dots — photoluminescent markers that glow in dim stage light — round out an instrument built for live performance at every level of detail.

The Tekton Floyd’s spec sheet reads as a checklist of what modern performance players have been asking for: 25.5" scale length (PRS stepping fully into Fender territory for maximum string tension and snap), 24 jumbo stainless steel frets on a 16" ebony fingerboard, and a Modern “D” neck profile at just 49/64" at the first fret and 27/32" at the twelfth — one of the slimmest neck profiles PRS has offered. The Floyd Rose 1000 Series with PRS’s 1 11/16" locking nut handles tuning stability through everything the format demands, PRS Phase III non-locking tuners (the locking nut handles that job) hold the headstock end, and the scarfed bolt-on maple neck is built for the kind of playability that demands immediate response. PRS Stylus humbuckers are voiced with a flatter, more even frequency response than a traditional PAF — retaining clarity and note definition under gain without sacrificing dynamic response — and the push/pull tone coil-splits both pickups for the full spectrum of humbucking and single-coil tones in every position.
