The Interstellar Tone Traveler has been tracking this limited run of Custom 24-08s closely — we've had Indigo, Salmon, Sage and Pomegranate through the doors — but this latest arrival is something the series hasn't shown us before. Pomegranate Purple micro smokeburst is a color that required a careful eye and a deliberate hand: PRS took the Pomegranate Private Stock palette and shifted it toward the violet end of the spectrum, then applied a micro smokeburst so tight and subtle it reads less like a burst and more like depth — the kind of dimension that pulls you closer the longer you look. Under gloss nitro lacquer, the 10 Top Curly Maple cap catches the light and throws those flames in slow-burning jewel tones, darker at the edges and warming toward a rich pomegranate-purple center that shifts with every angle. The curly maple neck is stained to follow suit, giving the whole instrument a unified presence that feels far closer to a Private Stock commission than a production guitar. Ziricote fingerboard and Old School Bird inlays complete the visual picture with the quiet confidence of materials that don't need to announce themselves.
