Gibson USA 70's Flying V - Classic White
products.product.pickup_availability.unavailable
There are guitar shapes that politely announce themselves, and then there is the Flying V — a design so audacious, so angularly uncompromising, so committed to pure visual impact that it has never needed to ask permission to own a stage. Gibson introduced it in 1958 alongside the Explorer and watched the world blink in confusion; by the 1970s, players like Michael Schenker, Dave Mustaine, and a generation of hard rock and metal guitarists had reclaimed it as the ultimate arena statement. The Interstellar Tone Traveler is proud to offer the Gibson Flying V 70's in Classic White — and if you think an SG in Cherry turns heads, wait until this machine walks into the room. Classic White in nitrocellulose lacquer on that iconic V body, trimmed with a white multi-ply pickguard and chrome hardware, is one of the most visually commanding guitar combinations ever produced. It doesn't just play rock. It looks like rock defined itself around it.
The 70's Tribute humbuckers are hand-wired with Orange Drop capacitors — a period-correct detail that brings a warm, musical quality to the tone controls and keeps the high-frequency response natural and responsive rather than harsh. Two independent volume controls and a single tone, routed through a 3-Way Switchcraft selector, keep the signal path clean and direct in the classic 70s tradition. The mahogany body and neck in SlimTaper profile give this guitar the warm, sustaining midrange foundation that the Flying V's radical shape has always delivered in spades, while the rosewood fingerboard with white LP Custom-style binding and acrylic dot inlays keep the aesthetic period-correct from headstock to body. Grover Rotomatic tuners, Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge, and Stop Bar tailpiece complete a guitar that is as stage-ready as it looks. At 8 lbs 2 oz, it has the weight to match its presence. Hardshell case included.
