Gibson Dove Original - Antique Natural
products.product.pickup_availability.unavailable
The Interstellar Tone Traveler has encountered many remarkable acoustics across the galaxy — but the Gibson Dove occupies its own unique coordinates. First launched in 1962 and now faithfully restored to its original orbit, the Dove Original Collection in Antique Natural is a space-age songbird built for players who demand power, presence, and a little aesthetic orbit. Where the Hummingbird family reaches for mahogany warmth, the Dove charts an entirely different course — flame maple back and sides with cherry stain paired with a solid Sitka spruce top, delivering a crisp, articulate voice with shimmering overtones that cut through any sonic atmosphere like moonlight through a midnight sky. The Antique Natural gloss nitrocellulose finish lets that flame maple breathe and speak for itself — warm, natural, and glowing with the subtle fire of the figured wood beneath, as honest and beautiful as the tone it produces.
The 25.5" scale length — longer than the standard Gibson acoustic configuration — adds extra string tension and vibrancy, giving the Dove its signature reach and projection that separates it from everything else in the fleet. Bright, loud, and refined, it remains poised and articulate across every register whether strummed hard or fingerpicked gently, projecting with comet-bright clarity that sits beautifully in any mix. A bone nut and bone saddle maximize resonance and sustain at every contact point, while Dove-appointed bridge, pickguard, and truss rod cover give this instrument a cohesive, period-correct visual identity that is instantly recognizable from any angle on any stage in the galaxy. Mother of Pearl parallelogram inlays, a Mother of Pearl Gibson logo and crown headstock inlay, Grover Keystone tuners, and the onboard L.R. Baggs™ VTC system complete a guitar that is as stage-ready as it is timelessly beautiful. This Dove is not merely restored — it is reborn, ready to soar through sonic stratospheres for another sixty years.
