The T57 voice channels the Tweed-era Fullerton circuit of 1957: a Treble and Bass implementation that produces a huge sweep of tones from wonderfully woolly and warm to sharp, cutting overdrive when pushed, with all the organic compression and sag of a cathode-biased Class A circuit breathing through a Celestion A-Type 12" speaker. Flip to V67 and the circuit shifts to a Top Boost-inspired architecture — chimey, more mid-scooped, bright, and edgy in the way that defined the British sound of the mid-1960s, equally at home delivering pristine cleans or harmonic grind.
