PRS Limited Edition Custom 24 Mango Top - Violet
products.product.pickup_availability.unavailable
The Interstellar Tone Traveler has always believed that the most extraordinary guitars begin with extraordinary wood — and the figured mango top on this Custom 24 Mango Limited Edition is as extraordinary as it gets. Mango is a tropical toneword of remarkable organic beauty, and no two tops are alike: each one carries its own flowing, natural figure ranging from softly undulating grain to high-contrast dramatic movement that seems to shift and breathe as the light changes across it. Dressed in Violet gloss nitro lacquer, the mango top on this guitar glows with a warm, purple-tinted depth that feels genuinely alive — the figure catching and refracting the color in ways that a standard maple top simply cannot replicate. Smoked Black hardware adds a moody, sophisticated edge that contrasts beautifully against the violet, and the Ziricote fingerboard — that dark, dramatically grained Central American toneword — brings a stunning visual anchor between the colored top and the mahogany neck. This is a guitar that rewards staring at it before you've even plugged in.
The Custom 24 platform underneath all that beauty remains exactly what it has always been: one of the most versatile, most playable, most tonally complete electric guitars ever built. DMO pickups in both positions deliver PRS's "wide open" vocal character — glassy and crystalline in the single-coil positions, bold and singing through the full humbuckers — and the 5-way blade gives you a full tonal spectrum at your fingertips. The Pattern Thin mahogany neck, Gen III tremolo, and Phase III locking tuners ensure the effortless playability and tuning stability that has made the Custom 24 a stage and studio staple for forty years. Speaking of which — this limited edition arrives with a PRS 40th Anniversary Certificate, a fitting companion for a guitar that celebrates both the anniversary of an iconic model and the creative spirit that has kept it relevant for four decades. Only 200 exist. At 7 lbs 8 oz in gloss nitro, this one is ready to travel.
