From a galaxy not so far away—more like Kalamazoo, Michigan, circa 1959—comes this absolutely stellar Gibson ES-225TD in a rich Tobacco Sunburst, still cruising the cosmos in 99% original condition, complete with its original "Cali Girl" case. Only items on this guitar currently that is not factory original is vintage correct Kulson tuners for better function. Original tuners included.

A true survivor of time and tone, this ES-225TD is one of the cleanest specimens left in the known universe. Minimal fret wear (especially considering it’s now 66 light-years old), no breaks, mods, or touch ups—just pure vintage mojo encoded in every curve and coil.

Built in the final year of ES-225 production, this model boasts the original trapeze tailpiece/bridge unit—a design originally envisioned by none other than Lester William Polsfuss (Les Paul himself). Unlike the early Les Paul Goldtops that made this bridge infamous (due to low neck angles and under-wrap stringing), the ES-225 wraps over the top, unlocking rich sustain, solid down pressure, and stellar tone clarity.

The tonal character of this 225 is deep-space versatile—woody jazz on the neck, jangly vintage pop in the middle, and twangy slapback rockabilly from the bridge. Add some gain and it blasts straight into gritty blues, rock & fusion realms with fluid, vocal-like lead tones that can rival the best of 1950s Gibsons.

This ES-225TD is a true time capsule, untouched by the parts pirates of decades past. It's the kind of piece collectors dream about and players fall in love with. If you’re hunting for a tone machine that bridges the vintage vacuum of the past with the forward pull of timeless sound, this may be your ship.

Vintage ES-225s were once sleeper deals—but that ship has launched. With only 2,754 double pickup models produced from 1956 to 1959. Prices are rising as more players realize the 225 is more versatile, balanced, and stage-ready than its ES-330 cousin. The bridge sustain alone is enough to break orbit.

If you’re reading this transmission, the signal’s still strong... but this clean '59 won’t stay grounded for long. Board now, or forever chase its vapor trail!
