ESP LTD Joe Duplantier Signature Model - Silver Sunburst

Forged at the intersection of crushing riffs and cosmic precision, the ESP LTD Joe Duplantier Signature JD-I is a sonic spacecraft designed for players who push beyond Earth’s atmosphere. Created in collaboration with Joe Duplantier—founding member, chief songwriter, and producer of French metal titans Gojira—this guitar marks his first-ever ESP signature model, engineered to channel raw power with surgical clarity.

The JD-I is a uniquely reimagined take on ESP’s offset XJ shape, built for balance, speed, and interstellar resonance. Its mahogany body delivers deep, planetary low end, while a 25.5” scale bolt-on three-piece roasted maple neck with a Thin “U” profile ensures stability and effortless playability across the fretboard. A Macassar ebony fingerboard with pearloid block inlays and 22 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets offers a smooth, durable surface built to withstand the heaviest gravitational pull.

At the heart of this instrument lies Joe’s signature DiMarzio JD Fortitude passive humbucker, a weaponized pickup designed for massive articulation, crushing mids, and unfiltered aggression—perfect for everything from tectonic rhythm work to soaring lead passages. Premium components including a Hipshot Tone-A-Matic bridge, Graph Tech TUSQ nut, and LTD locking tuners ensure rock-solid tuning stability whether you’re tracking in the studio or detonating stages worldwide.

Finished in a striking Silver Sunburst gloss, the JD-I looks as futuristic as it sounds—an instrument built for players who refuse to stay grounded.

Each guitar ships in a deluxe ESP form-fit hardshell case, ready for launch.
