Epiphone IGC J-45 Standard - Vintage Sunburst

Some guitars don't need a long introduction — their reputation arrives first. The J-45 has been called "The Workhorse" since 1942, and that nickname wasn't given lightly. It's the best-selling acoustic in Gibson's history, the round-shoulder dreadnought that has appeared on more recordings, stages, and living room floor sessions than almost any other guitar ever made. The Interstellar Tone Traveler is always watching for the instruments that bring this kind of legacy within reach of players who want the real tonal experience without the vintage price tag, and the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson J-45 Standard in Vintage Sunburst delivers exactly that. The 60s Kalamazoo headstock shape, J-45 teardrop tortoise pickguard, and warm Vintage Sunburst finish look unmistakably right — because they are — and the all-solid wood construction puts this guitar in a category that most instruments at this price simply can't touch.
The foundation is solid spruce over solid mahogany back and sides — the classic tonal combination that made the J-45 the go-to for generations of songwriters — and the all-solid construction means this guitar will continue opening up and improving with every year of play. The one-piece mahogany neck with Rounded C profile and 12" radius rosewood fingerboard is comfortable and immediate, fitted with a bone nut and Grover Rotomatic tuners that hold pitch reliably through long sessions. A belly-up rosewood bridge with bone saddle keeps intonation stable and transfer clean, and the Fishman Presys VT pickup system tucks volume and tone controls neatly into the soundhole — accessible when you need them, invisible when you don't. Stage and studio ready right out of the included Premium Gig Bag. The Workhorse is ready to work.
