A J-FET preamp handles active and passive basses with equal authority, while the fully active 4-band Baxandall EQ — with sweepable Low-Mid and High-Mid frequency controls — gives you the kind of surgical tone shaping typically reserved for full rack systems. The Variable Voicing control alone is worth the price of admission, sweeping from a flat, modern response all the way to a vintage scoop character with a single knob. Add the Variable Hi-Pass filter for precise sub-sonic control, Deep and Bright switches for instant low and high-end enhancement, and a footswitchable Boost with its own level control, and you have a complete professional preamp that fits in your gig bag's accessory pocket.
