Mesa/Boogie
Mesa Boogie 1984 Mark IIC+ Rig - Black Bronco / Black Grille
There are amplifiers… and then there are relics of sonic mythology. This is the latter.
Offered here is a true, factory-original Mesa/Boogie Mark IIC+, completed in December of 1984, ordered new as the coveted DRG package—Simul-Class, 5-band Graphic EQ, and Reverb—with zero later modifications. No retrofits. No conversions. No compromises. This is the Holy Grail of tone, exactly as Randall Smith and Mesa intended.
This particular Mark IIC+ is a one-owner amp, and it shows. In fact, it is the cleanest example we have ever encountered, especially remarkable given its 42 years of age. From day one, this amplifier was not merely owned—it was cherished.
The original owner was a young player in 1984 who saved diligently to acquire what was then—and remains today—the ultimate guitar amplifier. Ordered over the phone with Doug West, this Mark IIC+ represented years of ambition, dedication, and musical aspiration. Once it arrived, it became a lifelong companion—carefully used, meticulously maintained, and respectfully preserved. This was never a disposable piece of gear; it was a dream realized, and it was treated as such for decades.
Stored properly, serviced responsibly, and never abused, this amp lived a protected life—always valued, always respected, always loved.

From John Petrucci to Prince, Steve Lukather, Vivian Campbell, Brad Gillis, Metallica, and countless elite studio players—this is the amplifier that forged records, shaped genres, and defined the sound of the cosmic gunslinger. Crushing gain, liquid sustain, piano-like low end, and articulate highs that cut through any mix without ever turning harsh.
Simply put:
This thing is crushing on tone.

This is not just an amplifier—it is a time capsule.
The Mesa/Boogie Mark IIC+ is widely regarded as the rarest and most sought-after amplifier Mesa ever produced. Factory-original examples in this condition—one owner, documented, unmodified, and complete—simply do not surface.
Pieces like this do not show up every day.
In truth, they almost never do.
No serious collection is complete without this icon.
Strap in, hold on, and prepare for liftoff.
