The 1960AHW is the angled cabinet that belongs next to the 1959HW — handwired in Marshall’s UK factory with the same build philosophy as the head it’s designed to complement, and loaded with four Celestion G12H-30 speakers that defined the sound of British rock in the 1960s. The G12H-30’s heavier magnet delivers tight low-end frequencies, authoritative mid-range punch, and brilliant highs that are distinctly different from the G12 Vintage voicing of the 1960BV — more focused, more historically specific, the speaker that was in the cabinet when the greatest records of the era were made. The salt ’n’ pepper grill cloth marks it immediately as something from a different era of Marshall production, and at 120W it’s the cabinet that lets the 1959HW breathe at its correct power level. Angled top configuration for superior dispersion on stage. Designed and made in the UK, as it has always been.
