Swamp Ash body, one-piece maple neck with skunk stripe and light tint, vintage Strat bridge, vintage Fender tuners — the bones of this guitar are period-correct to the year in every meaningful way. The 10/56 soft "V" profile (.880"–.980") references the specific neck character of late 1956 and early 1957 Stratocasters — substantial, comfortable, and immediately distinct from the rounder profiles of later years. McMillin paired it with a compound 9.5"–12" radius in place of the vintage 7.25", a deliberate modern concession that keeps vintage aesthetics intact while eliminating any tendency to fret out during bends in the upper registers. Micarta dot inlays and a bone nut at 1.65" complete the vintage-correct details, and 6100 Jumbo frets give the playing experience a contemporary authority that the original thin vintage wire could never deliver. Hand-wound '57-spec pickups in all three positions — with the middle wound reverse/reverse for hum cancellation in positions 2 and 4 — deliver the glassy, chimey, three-dimensional Strat voice that players have chased for seven decades, and modern wiring puts tone control exactly where players expect it.
