The PRS Astryx is the first signature model for Dany Villarreal, lead guitarist and co-founder of The Warning, the powerhouse rock trio from Monterrey, Mexico that she built with her sisters from childhood YouTube covers into one of the most electrifying live acts in modern rock. As the sole guitarist in a three-piece, Villarreal carries the full sonic weight of a band with the precision, ferocity, and musicality of someone decades into their craft — and she does it on PRS. The model name, Astryx, is drawn from the root word for "star," and the guitar's visual identity runs that celestial thread all the way through: the finish is called Ocaso — Spanish for "sunset" — a breathtaking fade of purple, pink, orange, and yellow that moves across the 10 Top Curly Maple like a sky caught between day and night. The 12th fret carries the Solecito inlay — little sun — a nod to Villarreal's Mexican heritage and her guiding connection to something greater than herself. This is a guitar that knows who it is. Only 200 will be made in 2026.

 The platform beneath the artistry is a Custom 24 refined to Villarreal's exact specifications, and the key distinction from the standard build is the ebony fretboard — darker, denser, and more articulate than rosewood, it sharpens the attack and tightens the note definition in a way that suits her playing beautifully. J Bird inlays run the length of the board with the Solecito sun at the 12th fret marking the guitar's spiritual center. The mahogany neck in Pattern Thin profile delivers the fast, comfortable feel Villarreal describes as an extension of her body, and the gloss nitro finish on both body and neck gives the instrument a living, breathing quality that poly cannot match. DMO humbuckers provide the warm, PAF-inspired voice with the breadth and sustain she references — "it takes up a lot of space sonically" — and the 5-way blade opens up the full tonal palette from full humbuckers to single-coil clarity. The PRS Gen III Patented Tremolo and Phase III Locking Tuners handle whatever the stage demands.
