Back in 1961, Gibson launched a radical new design that looked like it came from another planet — and maybe it did. The Les Paul SG Standard broke the mold with its ultra-thin double cutaway body, fast neck, and snarling humbucker tone.

Now, the Gibson Custom Shop faithfully recreates this icon with the 1961 Les Paul SG Standard Reissue VOS in a classic Cherry Red finish — complete with all the vintage-correct mojo and time-warped feel, thanks to Gibson’s Vintage Original Spec (VOS) treatment.
