The Rainger FX Echo-X is not your typical compact delay pedal. Built around a digital delay circuit with 540ms of delay time, the Echo-X is designed for players who want expressive, hands-on control over echo movement, feedback, and rhythmic textures. It delivers everything from slapback-style repeats and dub-inspired accents to wild oscillation, exploding feedback, and real-time “echo swoop” effects.

A major part of the Echo-X experience is Igor, Rainger FX’s included pressure-sensitive foot controller. Igor can be used to control delay speed, feedback amount, or function as a send control, letting you keep your dry signal intact while pushing selected notes into the delay circuit. Release Igor, and your dry playing continues while the delayed notes trail, morph, and decay on their own.

The Echo-X also features a gate switch, giving it a unique gated echo effect. When engaged, the repeats cut off when you stop playing, creating tight, choppy, rhythmic delay patterns and helping rein in high-feedback settings that would normally run away completely. It is especially useful for percussive guitar parts, experimental textures, and controlled bursts of oscillation.

Housed in Rainger FX’s compact steel mini-pedal enclosure, the Echo-X keeps things pedalboard-friendly with all sockets mounted on the top end panel and no side-mounted jacks. It is small, expressive, weird in the best way, and built for players who want delay to feel more like an instrument than a static effect.
