Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt Jason Smith Desert Rose Esquire
products.product.pickup_availability.unavailable
Saddle up, star-rider—because this one isn’t just a guitar, it’s a meteor-forged outlaw with a desert soul. Masterbuilt by Jason Smith as a true one-of-one, the Desert Rose Esquire is where interstellar wanderlust meets Western grit. Floating at only 6lbs 3oz, this chambered mahogany beauty is ready to rocket through any mix with effortless grace.
The first thing you’ll notice is the hand-painted “Desert Rose” artwork by Briza Camacho, a blooming celestial tumbleweed glowing across the natural WLS satin finish—a perfect fusion of cosmic wonder and frontier romance.
Its stained maple neck paired with a luscious Madagascar rosewood fingerboard gives it both an earthly warmth and out-of-orbit playability. The classic 7.25" vintage radius, vintage frets, and 60’s Oval "C" neck carve make it feel like an old friend from a past life—or maybe a future timeline.
In true space-cowboy fashion, this Esquire sports sterling-silver horseshoe inlays crafted by Ron Thorn—tiny good-luck talismans for your journey through the sonic frontier. Add in the Schaller brass 6-saddle bridge, custom shotgun-shell knobs, and a hardwired Tele Texas Special bridge pickup, and you’ve got a tone machine that snaps, snarls, and sings like a lone coyote under a Martian moon.
This is not just a guitar. This is an artifact. A relic from a parallel universe where the sunsets are purple, the dunes hum with electricity, and every outlaw carries a six-string instead of a six-shooter.
