This La Perla — \"The Pearl\" — dates from the coveted Austin period of Teye's production, when each guitar was built by hand in Texas with the kind of personal attention that simply cannot be scaled. The headplate, the finish, the ornate detailing throughout are all signatures of a maker who approached guitar building as fine art rather than manufacturing. Rare when new.
