The JAM Pedals Tiny Amp Destroyer is that kind of find. Born from a collaboration with Stu Mackenzie — the restlessly creative architect of King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard — the TAD began as an experiment: push two JAM Boomsters into a beloved pawn-shop amp until it stopped behaving as intended and started sounding enormous. JAM didn't clone that chain. They captured the instability, the unruly breakup, and the chaotic response of that moment and built an entirely fresh circuit around it. The original artwork, as unmistakable as the sound, comes from Jason Galea — King Gizzard's longtime visual collaborator and the visual mind behind the band's iconic universe of album art, posters, and stage imagery. This is not an amp in a box. It is the sound of the box losing the fight.

The TAD puts three footswitches at your command — G2, G1, and an independent treble booster — and each one earns its real estate. G2 covers the more restrained territory: focused low-gain breakup, pushed and driven tones. G1 runs hotter, moving into heavier overdrive and dense distortion. Stack them for the TAD's most saturated, blown-out sounds, or use either stage alone for more controlled destruction. Shared Active Bass and Treble controls let you add weight, tighten the low end, or carve out frequency space in a mix with real precision — no passive tone-cut compromise here. The MAGIC switch shifts the entire response toward the compressed, boxy, unstable character of a tiny amplifier collapsing under pressure — for peak small-amp chaos, back the gain down, engage MAGIC, and let the Notch control hollow out a key frequency band until the sound becomes increasingly scooped and unconventional. The third footswitch activates the treble booster, based on JAM's own Rooster, positioned before G1 and G2 in the signal chain — tightening the low end, sharpening the attack, and changing how both drive stages respond. An internal DIP switch selects between Full (broader, with more low-frequency content) and Standard (focused, traditional) treble-booster voicings, with Full engaged from the factory. G1 Global Bypass mode — activated by holding G1 at power-up — lets a single footswitch bring in the complete stacked sound on one press, leaving G2 and the booster permanently engaged beneath it. This is a three-footswitch gain machine designed by and for players who find conventional drive pedals too well-behaved.

Controls & Features: G2 Footswitch: Lower-gain drive stage — breakup to driven tones
G1 Footswitch: Higher-gain stage — heavy overdrive to distortion
Treble Booster Footswitch: Independent Rooster-based treble booster (positioned pre-G1/G2)
Level: Overall output level for G1 and G2
Bass: Active boost/cut — G1 and G2
Treble: Active boost/cut — G1 and G2
MAGIC: Voicing switch — engages compressed, boxy, unstable small-amp character
Notch: Progressively removes a key frequency band — neutral to scooped/hollow Internal: DIP Switch — Treble Booster Voicing: Full (broader response) / Standard (traditional treble boost) — ships in Full G1 Global Bypass Mode: Hold G1 at power-up — 2 LED blinks = normal / 3 LED blinks = G1 controls full pedal
Signal Flow: Input → Treble Booster → G1 → G2 → Output
Artist Collaboration: Stu Mackenzie, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard
Artwork: Jason Galea
