We started with one of the most historically charged body shapes in all of electric guitar history — the 1958 Explorer, a design so radical and so far ahead of its time that Gibson could barely sell it when it was new, and that now commands stratospheric prices whenever an original surfaces. We gave it the full LP Custom treatment: multi-ply body binding, cream-bound ebony fingerboard, Mother of Pearl block inlays, and Classic White nitrocellulose VOS finish with vintage patina that makes this guitar look like it has been on the wall of a legendary collection for sixty years. The Custom wiring runs 2 Volume and 1 Tone with CTS 500K pots and ceramic caps, a configuration that keeps the signal path clean and direct.
